Campaign helping deliver 60% reduction in overuse injuries

Toll is a leader in global logistics. One of the challenges that comes with the physical work predominant in this industry is ‘overuse injuries’ costing millions of dollars in workers compensation and affecting the quality of life of employees. Being safety-obsessed, Toll was determined to help reduce musculoskeletal disorders, and developed a program to cover all aspects of injury prevention aimed at blue collar workers (70% of whom work outside corporate offices with no email).

OUTCOME

Reduction in high-risk manual handling tasks

Firstly, Belong Creative developed a striking visual identity for the Together Stronger program. Then, to support Toll’s Roadshow to every site which featured the new logo identity across pop-up stands, we developed a suite of cohesive collateral including 5-Pillar based, A3 Posters and printed Pocket-Books, which featured custom infographics, to bring awareness and education to blue-collar workers. With significant improvement in the first 12 months, Toll are on track for a 60% reduction in all high risk manual handling tasks over the next 3 years.

The Together Stronger program aims to prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSD’s), and promote general health and wellbeing both inside and outside of work. The program has been two years in the making from concept to reality and simply wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Belong Creative.
