A video series was required as part of an integrated ‘always-on’ marketing funnel to support 10 recruitment drives per year for Allianz Contact Centres based in Adelaide and Brisbane. Key objectives were to build brand awareness, while portraying Allianz contact centre careers differently to competitors. The brief was to unlock candidates’ sub-conscious, job-seeking mindset and then emotionally connect with them by tapping into career drivers so they could ‘feel’ the people, culture and environment of the contact centre.
Designed to be quite direct in its frankness, this video led the campaign and showcases what it's really like to work in a Contact Centre at Allianz Australia. This approach was designed to educate candidates so they knew what to expect before joining.
Career Themes Video Episodes - Paired Interviews
To extend the campaign we developed a series of paired interview video episodes that delved deep into a career theme in each one. The camaraderie and honesty from the colleagues was infectious. Having them ask each other questions creates a more authentic and intimate style that is more engaging for the viewer.

Most competitor videos (researched by Allianz) were driven by role type, with the employee covering various career themes in one video. Instead, our approach was to create a series of videos that went deep into one single-minded, career theme per video. We led with a ‘hero’ video which was designed to educate candidates, helping them make an informed decision about the role, before applying. The video showcased the ‘real’ working environment – both the positive benefits but also being frank about the challenges of a sit-down job, in a highly-managed and challenging environment, where employees are on the phone for 80% of the time. As a follow-on, 5 more episodic-style videos were created to bring to life the various career themes that set Allianz Contact Centres apart. Anecdotal feedback from the team was that candidates were more engaged coming through the process and felt more confident about the role when they started.
